The city of Laconia, NH located in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Public Works Director to lead a staff of employees and to manage operations and maintenance of the city’s highway, storm sewer and sanitary sewer systems, solid waste services and city engineering functions. Strong leadership abilities, extensive knowledge of public works construction and maintenance methods, materials and equipment, and a thorough knowledge of modern public works management are required.
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management or public administration; a master’s degree is preferred; and at least seven to 10 years of progressively responsible experience in public works or engineering administration and operations including budgeting, supervision, road maintenance and construction, engineering and solid waste management. A Professional Engineer Registration (PE License) is desirable.
Salary Range $141,398- $156,400
