RECORDING SECRETARY – REMOTE FRIENDLY!
Are you detail-oriented, organized, and interested in supporting local government? The town of Orleans is seeking Recording Secretaries for an exciting remote work opportunity, with the possibility of occasional in-person evening meeting attendance as assigned.
You will take accurate and comprehensive notes of committee meetings; transcribe, proofread, and finalize meeting minutes in a timely manner; ensure that all deadlines are met and distribute minutes to appropriate parties. These minutes may be taken utilizing audio recordings or in some cases in person attendance of the meeting is necessary. May perform other clerical tasks as assigned.
Qualifications: Three years experience in general clerical/secretarial work with prior experience working in municipal government and/or taking minutes preferred. Proficiency with word processing software and office technology.
Work Schedule:
Approximately 10-12 hours/month, depending on committee. Hours vary based on meeting schedules. Depending on the committee, may be required to attend Committee meetings in person, including evening meetings as required. Additional hours may be assigned to take minutes from past meetings, using existing audio recordings.
Pay range: $22.65-$27.55/hour
