The Safety Specialist reports to the Assistant Commissioner of Administration and Planning through the Safety Officer. The Safety Specialist will work with the Safety Officer to develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy workplace for employees. The Safety Specialist will also assist with the implementation of workplace safety programs, with a particular focus on employees in safety-sensitive positions of the operational departments, including Public Works, Water, and Traffic.
