SMEO/Laborer – Water and Sewer Division

Job Description

The city of Marlborough DPW is accepting applications for full-time position SMEO/Laborer-Water and Sewer Division. This is a union position offering competitive base wages, comprehensive municipal benefits, and significant opportunities to increase total compensation through overtime, emergency response, on-call assignments, snow and storm operations, and specialty pay incentives.

Education and Experience: HS Diploma or equivalent; five to seven years’ prior work experience in heavy motor equipment vehicle operation as used in the maintenance and repair of water system distribution and roadways; or an equivalent combination. Special Requirements: A candidate for this position must have a valid Class B MA CDL and Hoisting License 2B. Position requires availability during snow and ice events. Massachusetts Drinking Water Supply Facility Operator’s License D2 preferred.

$25.08 to $27.20 DOQ with a one-year period to obtain required licenses and advance to the SMEO rate. In addition to base pay.
