The town of Brooklyn, Connecticut invites experienced, practical, and community-minded municipal leaders to consider an exceptional opportunity to become Brooklyn’s first Town Administrator.
The new Town Administrator will serve as Chief Operating Officer under the direction of the First Selectman, who remains the Town’s Chief Executive Officer
The Administrator will oversee day-to-day operations; supervise and coordinate departments; support budget preparation, capital planning, purchasing, grants, risk management, human resources, labor relations, economic development facilities, technology coordination, communications, and special projects; and help ensure that municipal services are delivered efficiently, responsibly, and transparently.
Qualifications; A bachelor’s degree is required, with five to eight years of increasingly responsible administrative, management, or supervisory experience in government, including at least three years of management experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. An MPA or MBA is preferred, and knowledge of municipal government is highly desirable.
