The town of Hingham seeks applicants for the position of full-time Town Engineer. Working under the general direction of the DPW Superintendent, the employee is responsible for professional engineering work relating to managing and coordinating major town infrastructure improvement projects.
Requirements: A candidate for this position must have a Professional Engineer license. Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field required, master’s degree preferred. Five to seven years of full-time planning and civil engineering, design, construction, and supervisory experience on a variety of engineering projects, especially those involving public works construction under MGL Chapter 30 and 39M (horizontal work) and MGL Chapter 149 (vertical work). Experience working with MA DOT and working within a municipal environment preferred, but not required. The Town may consider equivalent education and experience in determining whether a candidate has met the requisite qualifications.
Salary Range: $120,00 to $160,000, commensurate with experience
