Hopkinton, Massachusetts (19,249 pop.), is seeking an experienced, collaborative, inclusive, and transparent leader with superior team building and communication skills, exceptional financial acumen, and proficient project management skills to serve as its Town Manager. The next Town Manager must be a skilled communicator who supports a transparent local government.

Known by many as the starting point of the Boston Marathon, Hopkinton is located 26.2 miles west of Boston. The town is bisected by I-495 and intersects with I-90 at its northern edge. Hopkinton has an AAA bond rating and FY25 preliminary budget of $121.4 million. and a Select Board-Town Manager form of government with open Town Meeting. Preferred candidates will have a master’s degree in public administration or other relevant field and experience as a Town Manager or Assistant Town Manager, or in a responsible senior municipal position, and/or any equivalent combination of education and public or private experience.
