Job Description

Oxford (13,287 pop.), a peaceful and historic New England town with scenic back roads, classic stone walls, and a tight-knit community in southern Worcester County, is seeking an experienced municipal leader with superior financial acumen, creative ideas to boost revenue, and proficient skills in communication, collaboration, and consensus building to serve as Town Manager. Candidates should have a strong character, be able to build trust, foster a respectful and inclusive working environment, and be able to delegate responsibilities. The town has an Aa3 rating and FY26 budget of $51.4M. Oxford has an Open Town Meeting form of government with a Town Manager and five-member Board of Selectmen. Candidates will have at least a bachelor’s degree, preferably in public administration, and at least three years of prior full-time, compensated executive service in public or business administration; or seven years or more of prior service as a town or city manager.

Annual salary: $195K+/- DOQ. AA/EOE.
