Job Description

The Select Board seeks community minded candidates for the position of Treasurer. This part-time (25–30 hours/week) and benefitted, leadership position has the responsibilities as defined in Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 32, 40, 41, 44 & 60 and is responsible for managing the town’s financial affairs, overseeing the deposit, investment and disbursement of all town funds to ensure the availability of liquid assets as necessary and performing all borrowing, tracking and repayment of notes and bonds, maintaining the town’s bond rating, and the management of tax title foreclosures. Additionally, this position manages payrolls for all employees including benefits administration for active and retired employees. Anticipated hiring pay range: $36.21/hour to $38.42/hour.
