The town of Randolph seeks a qualified, motivated individual to serve as the full-time Treasurer/Collector. Under the direction of the Randolph Town Manager, and in accordance with Federal law, State statutes and Town ordinances, the Treasurer/Collector is responsible for management, direction, and administration of the Treasurer/Collector Department including receipt, investment, custody, and expenditure of all municipal funds; cash management; short and long term borrowing; management of the tax title portfolio; formulation and processing of tax recapitulation documentation; and collection of taxes, betterments, bills and certain other charges.
This position performs administrative, supervisory, and technical work involving the receipt of money and the collection of all taxes due to the town. Administer the receipt, recording, expenditure and custody of municipal funds, oversee the borrowing and investment of funds and generate the municipal payroll. Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, public administration or related field and three to five years of progressively responsible experience in municipal finance; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Should possess Massachusetts Municipal Treasurer’s and Collector’s certifications and be eligible for bonding annually.
Salary Range: $91,111 – $119,896 per year plus excellent benefits.
