Water System Maintenance Person/MEO3

The city of Lowell is seeking candidates for the position of Water System Maintenance Person/MEO Grade 3 in the Water Utility. The position reports directly to the Plant Manager, Water Distribution Plant Superintendent and WFWSMP and is responsible to perform duties in the construction, maintenance and operation of water systems and distribution systems throughout the city. Two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of the principles, procedures, methods, equipment and material used in the construction, installation, maintenance and repair of the municipal water distribution system, including mains, service connections, gates, hydrants and meters. Knowledge of the safety precautions used in water distribution construction and repair work. CDL and hydraulics licenses required, to be obtained within six months of employment.

Salary range: $23.75 (min) to $29.07 (max) per hour without licenses; $24.78 (min) to $30.09 (max) per hour with appropriate licenses; 40 hours/week.
