The town of Falmouth welcomes applications for a Water Utilities Crew Leader position with the Department of Public Works Water division’s Water Distribution Team. This is a stable, full-time, year-round, benefited supervisory position that works 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with substantial overtime opportunities. Overtime worked between the hours of midnight and 7 a.m. is compensated at double-time.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of three years of experience in public works construction and maintenance activities involving the operation of heavy and specialized equipment, including a minimum of one year in water and/or sewer operations; or any equivalent combination of education, training, or experience that demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
The successful candidate demonstrates sound judgment, effectively leads and motivates employees, and is committed to providing safe, reliable public water service.
Required Licenses:
Candidates who otherwise satisfy the minimum qualifications for the position but do not currently possess the required CDL-A or Hoisting License may be eligible to obtain these licenses through the Town’s in-house training program, with training costs covered by the Town.
Anticipated Starting Hourly Rate: Step 1 ($30.33/hour) – Step 3 ($32.80/hour), commensurate with qualifications and experience.
