The MMA will host a webinar on Aug. 18 covering municipal credit and bond ratings.
The session will provide an overview of:
• The borrowing process
• Bond ratings
• The impact of ratings on municipal finances
The presenter will be Kristy Tofuri, a managing director at the Boston office of HilltopSecurities, an investment banking firm that serves as municipal advisor to cities, towns, school districts, transit authorities, and utility districts across the Commonwealth. Tofuri has 20 years of experience in public finance and holds Series 7, 63, 50 and 54 licenses.
Online registration is available for the 75-minute webinar, which will begin at noon. Only MMA members may register. MMA members include elected officials and municipal employees from MMA member communities across the state. Media members are not permitted to attend.
