The New England Chapter of the American Society for Public Administration is seeking nominations for its 2026 awards recognizing distinguished contributions to public service.
One of the awards, the Robert H. (Tex) McClain Jr. Distinguished Public Administration Award, honors an individual or group recognized for exemplary leadership and sustained contributions to public service. The award’s recipients demonstrate a results-oriented approach and a commitment to advancing the art, science and practice of public administration in New England.
The McClain award recognizes those who:
• Lead and manage effectively in public governance
• Engage meaningfully in the policy process
• Apply critical thinking and analysis to identify problems and develop effective solutions
• Articulate and uphold public values in practice
• Communicate and collaborate across diverse and dynamic communities
The New England Chapter of ASPA also distributes awards honoring the distinguished service of citizens, veterans, academics, students and labor advocates. The awards will be presented at the NEASPA Annual Meeting in September.
Nominations may be submitted online through June 30.
