One hundred communities had updated their information for the 2019-2020 edition of the Massachusetts Municipal Directory as of May 20. Norton was the first to complete its updates this year, thanks to the efforts of Town Manager Michael Yunits.

The MMA greatly appreciates the help of local officials across the state in promptly updating the information for their community. The convenient online update form is pre-populated with the personnel information currently in the MMA database. It takes only a few minutes to update.

The chief municipal official in each Massachusetts city and town received a letter in April alerting them that the process is underway. The letter explains when to expect an email with a link, username and password to be used for updating community information with a convenient online tool.

Towns receive the email with the link to the online form within weeks of their spring election. Cities received the email by April 30.

The MMA’s annual directory includes listings of local officials and contact information – as well as demographic and financial data – for all of the state’s cities and towns. There are also sections devoted to regional school districts, state and federal government agencies, and relevant professional organizations, as well as a guide to products and services for municipalities.

The new edition of the directory will be published in August.
