The town of Rochester is seeking candidates for a full-time (37.5 hours a week) Library Assistant for Youth Services at the Joseph H. Plumb Memorial Library. Primary responsibilities include providing and supporting library services for all youth, from birth to age 18. This position is also responsible for community outreach to families, schools, and local organizations that support youth in the Tri-Town area.
Bachelor’s degree required; master’s in Library Science from an ALA accredited library school is highly desirable. One year of previous library or related experience required. Previous experience working with children and young adults required.
Starting salary is $25.04/hour and includes benefits and potential step increases. Benefits include healthcare, retirement, paid holidays, and sick and vacation time.
