Deputy Executive Director
The position reports to the Executive Director. The essential function of the position is to establish and maintain contact with the Accreditation Manager of each agency participating in the program. Accreditation Managers are responsible for managing their agency’s efforts in the accreditation process in pursuit of accreditation status. The Deputy Executive Director provides each Accreditation Manager with the information and technical support necessary to achieve that goal. The position is also responsible for performing critical job tasks of the Commission’s Executive Director in his/her absence.
Organization
Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission (MPAC) is a non-profit independent agency that offers and oversees an accreditation program for the Commonwealth’s law enforcement community. MPAC is overseen by a Commission composed of 11 board members: six must be sitting police chiefs of the Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association and from a certified or accredited agency; four members must come from an accredited agency; the Massachusetts Police Association appoints one member; the Massachusetts Municipal Association appoints one member; two members have demonstrated expertise in law enforcement and public safety initiatives; and one member shall be from an accredited public safety academic institution. Compensation
The Commission offers a competitive compensation package. The Deputy Executive Director salary is $105,000+/-, determined based on experience and qualifications. Attractive benefits, including health and retirement, are included in the total compensation package.
