The town of Littleton is seeking qualified applicants for a 40-hour/week HR Generalist/Benefits Administrator in the Human Resources department. Responsibilities include conducting new employee orientations; complying and/or completing all enrollment paperwork, and assisting employees with benefit selections, conducting group training sessions, maintaining all human resource records for existing employees; updating employee database with new hires, terminations, salary and compensation changes, contract changes, job classifications, and benefits, responding to employee inquiries regarding benefits and assisting with claim resolution as required, overseeing the preparation of the annual open enrollment process, and assisting the Director and Assistant Director in a variety of administrative human resources functions including but not limited to compliance tracking, employee communications, data reporting, personnel matters, and documentation preparation for HR initiatives.

Successful candidates will have an associate’s degree with five years or bachelor’s degree and three years of progressively responsible experience in human resources, benefit administration, benefit management, and municipal financial administration; previous work in a collective bargaining environment helpful; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires valid motor vehicle license. Knowledge of MUNIS preferred. Position will be subject to a thorough background check.

The starting pay rate is $32.95/hr – $34.62/hour, commensurate with experience. This is a non-exempt, benefits eligible position governed by the Personnel Bylaw and Employee Handbook.
