The city of Amesbury is seeking a Procurement and Liability Manager to lead strategic purchasing efforts across city departments. This leadership role ensures compliance with Massachusetts procurement laws and supports departments in securing high-quality goods and services. Key responsibilities include managing procurement operations, preparing and reviewing bids, negotiating contracts, maintaining records, and evaluating vendor performance.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or three to five years of related experience, strong communication skills, and certification as a Massachusetts Certified Public Purchasing Officer (MCPPO) or the ability to obtain within 12 months.
Salary: $70,000–$75,000 with an excellent benefits package.
