The Lexington Public Schools is is seeking applicants for a full-time Director of Finance.
July 1 start date. Salary commensurate with experience
The Director of Finance reports to the Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations. Reporting to the Director of Finance are the Special Education Finance and Operations Manager, Payroll Specialist, Financial Analyst, Finance Assistant, and two Accounts Payable/Finance Clerks. The Director is responsible for managing a service-driven operation and team focusing on all financial matters of the district, which include financial tracking and reporting for general fund, grant and special revenue funds, revenue tracking and reconciliation, certified and classified payroll, student activities, non-tax levy funds, budget development, and related state and federal financial reporting.
The Director collaborates with all district staff, including district leaders, building principals, program coordinators, department heads, and teaching and support staff. The Director works in partnership with employees from the town of Lexington municipal offices.
