The town of Reading is accepting applications for the position of Child/Adolescent Clinician in the Public Safety department.

Under the supervision of the Director of the Reading Coalition for Prevention and Support, the part-time licensed Clinician helps implement the Coalition’s goals and activities within the Reading Police Department.

Expected Hiring Rate
$35.47- $40.76

Work Hours
This is a part-time position at 16 hours per week Monday through Friday. A recommended schedule is 1-6 p.m. x four days a week. Hours and schedule may be negotiable with priority for afternoons/evenings.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in social work, education, human services or related field; master’s degree in social work or counseling.
  2. Three or more years clinical practice preferred working with children, adolescents and families.
  3. Currently Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts.
  4. Proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, Ukrainian, Albanian, Chinese, Gujarati, or Korean preferred but not required.
