Creative, forward-thinking municipal administrators/managers with strong financial acumen, fiscal forecasting capability, excellent communication skills, human resources, economic development, and procurement experience are encouraged to apply. Halifax’s local government is led by a three-member Board of Selectmen, has an Open Town Meeting form of government, an FY26 budget of approximately $31.05M, and an Aa+ rating. The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred), preferably in public administration, business administration, management, or a related field.
