The town of Grafton is seeking an individual to fill the position of Department Assistant for the Conservation and Planning departments.

Duties include but are not limited to providing customer service via phone, email, and in-person encounters, processing Public Records Requests, posting meeting agendas, legal notices, and preparing meeting minutes in accordance with Open Meeting Law. As well as processing receipts and payables and tracking relevant accounts, maintaining electronic and hard copy filing systems and archives, preparing materials for Board and Commission meetings, including abutters’ mailing and setting up Zoom Webinars, and processing mail.

Qualifications for this position include a high school diploma and one to three years of related experience, or any equivalent combination of education, training, certification, and experience. Experience in a municipal office setting is preferred. Applicants must have knowledge with office management principles, and experience with computer programs and databases. Applicants must be able to manage multiple tasks at once, meet deadlines, and have strong record keeping skills. Strong customer service skills are essential in this position. This is a 35-hour per week position with a salary range of $46,792.00 to $52,943.00 DOQ.
