Police Officer

The town of Upton seeks to fill the full-time position (40 hours/week) of Police Officer. Recommended Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree in Criminal Justice or related field; one to two years related experience or military training; or any equivalent combination. Full-time academy training is preferred. Special Requirements: Certification/training in First Aid, CPR, AED, and First Responder; CORI certified; Licensed to Carry Firearms; Possession of Massachusetts motor vehicle operator’s license; must pass Police department physical examination, PAT Test, and maintain appropriate physical fitness level; Ability to obtain certification by MCJTC within a reasonable time. FY26, the salary range is $67,592- $79,675, depending on experience and additional compensation (FY26 8.5-21% / FY27 10-25%) based on academic degree.
