Come join our dynamic team! The city of Newton is seeking qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Senior Human Resources Generalist. The purpose of this position is to perform advanced, confidential, and professional HR work across all functional areas, including compliance, labor relations, training, and employee engagement, while also serving as the department’s central office support; operates with a high degree of autonomy, the Senior HR Generalist collaborates closely with and provides operational support to the HR Director and Deputy Director, helping to drive equitable, efficient, and innovative HR practices; may be assigned to lead special projects or ongoing programs in areas such as collective bargaining, employee engagement, training and development, policy creation, and process improvement; position requires strong judgment, attention to detail, adherence to deadlines, proper discretion, and a commitment to delivering excellent internal and external customer service; and all other related work as required and directed. This is a full-time, exempt position, hiring salary range: $70,675 – $80,720 annually plus yearly step increases, excellent benefits, and the opportunity to be a part of our team of dedicated public servants.
