Police Chief – Town of Montague
The town of Montague seeks a forward-thinking, community-focused Police Chief to lead its full-service department. The Chief will oversee 18 sworn officers, dispatch staff, and a $2.4M annual budget. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader committed to transparency, building public trust, officer wellness, and inclusive community policing.
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or an associate’s degree with seven-plus years in a supervisory role, and eligibility for Massachusetts POST certification. Strong administrative, communication, and leadership skills required. Base salary $89,876–$117,270 DOQ, plus educational incentives.
