Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our Planning and Zoning departments full-time (37.5 hours) during regular business hours. Our Town Hall re-located in June to a beautiful new building in Assinippi Park where you will enjoy indoor amenities (offices, kitchens on each floor, break room, fitness room) and an outdoor patio to eat lunch overlooking our backyard pond.

The SEIU 888 position provides shared administrative and clerical support to the Zoning Board of Appeals, the Planning Department, and the Compete Streets and Pathway Committees. Reports to the Director of Planning and Community Development for planning related work, Complete Streets and Pathway committee work and the Director of Building, Zoning Enforcement and Facilities Management for zoning related work. Position requires schedule flexibility to work in each department as business needs may require. Provides daily phone and email coverage for both departments. High school diploma or equivalent and one to three years of related experience in an office setting with a focus on administrative practices and policy compliance; or any equivalent combination of education, training, certification, and experience. Experience with complex clerical systems preferred. Open until filled.
