Topsfield (population 6,500) seeks qualified candidates for the part-time position of Assistant Town Clerk to perform administrative and clerical duties on behalf of the Town of Topsfield. The Assistant Town Clerk receives direction from the Town Clerk and is appointed by the Town Administrator and Town Clerk. The Assistant Town Clerk performs all administrative and clerical duties for the Town Clerk’s Office, including the posting of all Town Board and Committee agendas and updating of the online meeting calendar. Education: High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree preferred; BA is highly desirable
Experience: Two or more years of directly related work experience; or three years of experience in a similar setting or related field; Municipal experience is highly preferred; Massachusetts Municipal experience is highly advantageous.
Hourly Rate: $25.00 to $28.00 – 24 hours per week
