Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

The town of Hopkinton is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic to join its department of Public Works. This position requires journeyman-level experience in maintenance and repair of both light and heavy vehicles/equipment, with responsibilities including diagnostics, welding, hydraulics, and electrical system repairs. The role also includes operating heavy equipment for construction/maintenance projects and supporting snow and ice operations.

Details:

• Pay: $31.54 – $32.18/hour (per CBA)

• Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. (40 hours/week)

• Benefits: Comprehensive leave, pension, and insurance package

• Licenses Required: Valid 2B Hoisting License and Class B CDL
