Building Maintenance Workers

Job Description

The town of Canton is seeking qualified candidates for two Building Maintenance Worker positions in the town of Canton Central Maintenance department. Responsibilities include the cleaning, maintenance and repair of town buildings, grounds and other facilities and equipment.

Requirements: HS diploma or equivalent and three to five years’ experience in building/construction trades performing maintenance and cleaning work including skilled building maintenance and grounds work, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Class B CDL and core pesticide applicator’s license required. Construction supervisor license, HVAC, electrical and/or plumbing trades preferred.

40 hour/week, AFSCME Union, benefit eligible position.

Schedules:

• Day Building Maintenance Worker: Monday through Thursday – 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Friday – 7 a.m.-1 p.m.
• Evening Building Maintenance Worker: Monday through Thursday – 3 p.m – 12 a.m.; Friday – 9 a.m.-6 p.m

Pay Range: $27.48-$28.30, w/ room for growth.
