Who is a member?
Our members are the local governments of Massachusetts and their elected and appointed leadership.
The Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation is asking municipalities to remove old contractor registration applications from their offices and websites, particularly from their building departments, and instead direct contractors to the office’s contractor hub.
All contractor registrations, renewals, and account management must be conducted through the MA Contractor Hub. PDF applications, paper applications and paper checks are no longer accepted and will be mailed back to the contractor.
Complaints, arbitration, and Guaranty Fund requests must also go through the MA Contractor Hub.
The Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation said it still sees paper applications, often sent to old addresses (such as 1 Ashburton Place, 10 Park Plaza, and 501 Boylston St.), which causes those applications to be delayed.
The Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation moved last year from Boylston Street to 1 Federal St., Suite 720, in Boston. The Division of Occupational Licensure is also located at 1 Federal St., in Suite 600.
