Job Description

Brookline seeks an experienced Director to lead its Early Childhood Education Center, serving children ages 12 months to five years. The Director ensures high-quality programming, compliance with EEC licensing requirements, and a safe, supportive environment for children, families, and staff.

This role oversees daily operations, curriculum support, staff supervision, record‑keeping, and enrollment management. Responsibilities include mentoring and evaluating educators, coordinating training and schedules, maintaining required ratios, and supporting positive family communication. The Director also manages budgeting, tuition processes, audits, facilities coordination, and emergency planning, while representing the program in work with town departments and community partners.

Qualifications:
Candidates should have strong leadership and communication skills, experience managing both educational and operational needs, and deep knowledge of early childhood best practices. A bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field, EEC Director I or II certification, and at least five years of experience, including three in a supervisory role, are required. A valid Massachusetts driver’s license and current CPR/First Aid certification are also necessary.

Competitive starting salary range of $85,010–$89,631 and excellent benefits.
