Who is a member?
Our members are the local governments of Massachusetts and their elected and appointed leadership.
The MMA will host a webinar with the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs on Nov. 12 to discuss the development of a state municipal guidance document for data center development, as called for by Executive Order 658.
The guide will build on Gov. Maura Healey’s Expectations for Responsible Data Center Development and Operations and provide practical recommendations for local leaders, helping municipalities protect against unrestricted data center development and execute community benefits agreements.
Speakers will include:
• Melissa Lavinson, executive director of the Office of Energy Transformation
• Mike Judge, undersecretary, Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs
• Josie Ahlberg, Senior Legislative Analyst, MMA
Online registration is available for the 75-minute webinar, which will begin at noon. Only MMA members may register. MMA members include elected officials and municipal employees from MMA member communities across the state. Media members are not permitted to attend.
