AG to host municipal webinar Sept. 4 on opioid settlement funds

Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell will host a webinar on Sept. 4 focused on the opportunity for municipalities to participate in the Commonwealth’s recent settlements with opioid manufacturer Purdue Pharma and its owners, along with eight other opioid manufacturers.

Attendees will learn about the process for municipalities to sign on to these settlements, and a municipal representative will discuss how prior settlement funds were used to benefit the community.

Speakers will include Campbell and staff from the AGO’s Health Care Division.

Zoom registration is available online, and the link may be shared with any individuals or groups who may benefit from attending. The webinar will begin at noon.

In advance of the webinar, the Attorney General’s Office is asking municipal officials to share the questions they want addressed by leaving a comment in their registration.
