Our members are the local governments of Massachusetts and their elected and appointed leadership.
Applications are being accepted through April 26 for the 2024 Housing Choice Communities Designation.
The Housing Choice Initiative rewards municipalities that have produced certain rates or amounts of new housing units in the last five years and that have adopted housing best practices. Communities that achieve the designation have exclusive access to the Housing Choice Grant Program and receive bonus points or other considerations for other participating programs.
Housing Choice Communities have produced more than three-quarters of all housing in the Commonwealth over the last five years, according to state officials. The Housing Choice designation rewards their efforts and helps them continue to promote housing production.
