Cannabis Control Commission to hold listening sessions across state

The Cannabis Control Commission has announced that it will hold seven listening sessions in locations around the state in October to hear from the public regarding the content of forthcoming regulations for recreational marijuana.
 
The sessions will be held on the following schedule:
 
• Oct. 4, 10 a.m., Holyoke Community College, Kittredge Center, Room 301/303, 303 Homestead Ave., Holyoke
• Oct. 5, 10:30 a.m., Barnstable Town Hall, 367 Main St., Hyannis
• Oct. 6, 8:30 a.m., Bruce Bolling Municipal Building, School Committee Chamber, 2nd floor, 2300 Washington St., Boston
• Oct. 10, 10:30 a.m., West Tisbury Public Library, 1042 State Road, Vineyard Haven
• Oct. 11, 10 a.m., Worcester Public Library, Saxe Room, 3 Salem Square, Worcester
• Oct. 12, 9 a.m., One Ashburton Place, 21st floor, Boston
• Oct. 13, 1 p.m., Berkshire Community College, 1350 West St., Pittsfield
 
The commissioners will not be answering questions at the listening sessions.
 
The commission has also invited organizations with a known interest in the development of regulations for the adult use of marijuana to submit verbal and/or written comments. The “invitee session” will be held on Oct. 2, 9:30 a.m., at the State House, Room A1-A2, in Boston.
 
The MMA has been invited to this session and will present testimony.
 
The invitee session will be open to the public, but only the invitees will be permitted to present. Commissioners will not be answering questions.
 
Organizations that were not invited to present at the invitee session are asked to attend a public listening session or submit written comments.
