Who is a member?
Our members are the local governments of Massachusetts and their elected and appointed leadership.
The Massachusetts Health Promotion Clearinghouse website now provides a range of multi-cultural print and web-based substance abuse prevention educational resources developed for professionals and the public.
Printed materials, developed by the Bureau of Substance Abuse Services in the Department of Public Health, are available for free download or in bulk quantities (at no charge) from www.maclearinghouse.com.
The Bureau of Substance Abuse Services also offers materials about the “State Without Stigma” campaign, developed to address the stigma surrounding drug misuse, which can be a barrier to seeking treatment. The available resources and facts can help change the dialogue around how people think about, talk about and treat people with substance use disorders.
For more information about “State Without Stigma,” visit www.mass.gov/statewithoutstigma or contact Julia Ojeda of the Bureau of Substance Abuse Services at Julia.Ojeda@massmail.state.ma.us.
