Who is a member?
Our members are the local governments of Massachusetts and their elected and appointed leadership.
The State Ethics Commission conducts regular seminars at its office on the conflict-of-interest law. These seminars present an opportunity for agencies to have new hires, or public employees who were not able to attend seminars conducted at agency offices, to receive important training on the restrictions imposed under Chapter 268A.
Seminars are generally held every other month on the fourth Thursday at 10 a.m. Upcoming seminars are scheduled for the following dates:
• Thursday, June 23
• Thursday, Aug. 25
• Thursday, Oct. 27
Space is limited. To attend a seminar at the commission office (McCormack State Office Building, One Ashburton Place, room 619, Boston), call (617) 371-9500 to register.
For agencies and employees located outside the Boston area, the commission offers the opportunity to attend a bi-monthly seminar via webinar. To register and receive sign-in information, call the commission at (617) 371-9500.
Government agencies are also encouraged to host a seminar by contacting David Giannotti, public education and communications division chief, at (617) 371-9505 or David.Giannotti@state.ma.us.
Additional information can be found on the Ethics Commission’s website (www.mass.gov/ethics).
For disability accommodations, contact Giannotti at (617) 371-9505 or David.Giannotti@state.ma.us.
