9:30 am – 1:00 pm

The Massachusetts Municipal Management Association will focus on cybersecurity on March 23 at Cyprian Keyes in Boylston.

Cybersecurity presents a game of cat-and-mouse. Cyber criminals constantly develop new types of attacks that threaten municipalities. Developing incident response plans and long-term policy strategies is key to assuring that critical infrastructure continues to operate. Come learn more about municipal cyber incident response planning and resources from the MassCyberCenter and the Executive Office of Technology Services and Security. Attendees will participate in a role-playing tabletop exercise to determine how to protect the fictitious town of Massboro after a cyberattack.

The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a MMA Legislative Update and conclude with lunch at noon. The cost is $40 per attendee.

The non-COVID related cancellation deadline is March 17. To cancel your registration, please send an email to registrations@mma.org. After March 17, refunds will only be considered for COVID related cancellations.

The MMA is advising in-person meeting attendees to keep up with the latest COVID vaccines for which they are eligible. We highly recommend that attendees take an at-home rapid antigen test prior to attending, and not attend if they have any COVID symptoms or if a household member has tested positive for COVID. These protocols are subject to change based on the latest public health data and guidance.
