Our members are the local governments of Massachusetts and their elected and appointed leadership.
Topic: Strategies for Addressing Incivility
The meeting will be hosted by and for WEMO members. Any member, regardless of years of experience, is welcome to participate.
Attendees will participate in a guided discussion on dealing with incivility. The discussion will explore:
– Proactive steps to prevent or de-escalate instances of incivility
– How to best support colleagues who are experiencing incivility
– Ways to foster a culture of respect and civility
Attendees are also encouraged to come with any question or challenge they’re currently dealing with in their capacities as elected municipal officials, regardless of topic, and share them in small groups for peer discussion and feedback. Please note MMA and WEMO are non-partisan organizations, so discussions about elections and campaigns are prohibited.
