Input sought on state’s Solid Waste Master Plan

The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection is seeking input from municipal officials and other stakeholders on its draft Solid Waste Master Plan for 2020-2030.

The 10-year plan will outline the state’s goals and action steps for managing and reducing solid waste.

MassDEP’s Solid Waste Advisory Committee, on which the MMA serves, meets quarterly. Subcommittees, which meet separately, cover topics including data collection and analysis, organic waste diversion, and source reduction.
