Our members are the local governments of Massachusetts and their elected and appointed leadership.
This position is to provide clerical and administrative assistance to the Department of Public Services Director, Deputy Director, Business Manager, Water/Sewer Commission and all divisions of the DPS staff. The work involves attention to detail to maintain accurate records; answering customer inquiries and managing the office. The work involves coordinating requests for service about various Water and Sewer Services and handling customer inquiries. Assist with processing permits and collects and records related fees for new connections to water and sewer system. Prepares and submits fees to appropriate city officials; maintains records of permits and prepares appropriate reports.

Required Qualifications: Must have an associate degree with four years’ experience in a similar administrative assistant position preferably in municipal government or utility services; or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
Hours:35 Hour Week (Monday – Friday 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.), plus required overtime
