Assistant Council on Aging Director / Social Services Specialist
Town of Hamilton Senior Center
32 hours/week | Grade 8, Step 1 – $27.83/hour

The town of Hamilton is seeking a compassionate and organized professional to join our Council on Aging team! In this dual role, you will deliver vital social services to older adults while assisting with the day-to-day operations of our Senior Center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide case management, counseling, crisis intervention, and outreach services.
  • Connect seniors to housing, food, health, and financial resources.
  • Support Senior Center operations: answer phones, greet visitors, assist with volunteer coordination, and prepare program reports.
  • Serve as backup for transportation and logistics in the Director’s absence.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in social work, gerontology, or related field required (bachelor’s preferred).
  • Two to three years of experience in elder services or case management.
  • Valid Driver’s License; ability to obtain SHINE and CPR certifications within six months.
  • Strong communication skills, confidentiality, and Microsoft Office proficiency.

Schedule: Monday–Thursday 8 a.m. –4 p.m., and Friday 8 a.m. – noon (32 hours/week).
