The town of Littleton is seeking qualified applicants for an Assistant Town Administrator in the town Administrator’s Office. This position will be responsible for performing complex professional, administrative, and management work in assisting the Town Administrator in daily administration of ongoing town activities and assisting the Town Administrator in advising the Select Board in discharging the duties of their office, working closely with the Town Administrator to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of town services, providing leadership for the town in areas of policy formulation, grant writing and administration, and organizational development, and assuming delegated duties and responsibilities of the Town Administrator in his/her absence.

Successful candidates will have a master’s degree in public administration, business management or closely related field; five to seven years of experience as a municipal administrator; experience with town meeting process; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.  Position will be subject to a thorough background check.

The full salary range is $55.04/hr – $71.80/hour, commensurate with experience. This is an exempt, benefits-eligible position governed by the Personnel Bylaw and Employee Handbook.
