The town of Lunenburg is seeking a skilled and innovative municipal finance leader to serve as its next Finance Director/Town Accountant. Join a community that values collaboration, forward-thinking management, and strong financial stewardship.

This position oversees all financial operations, including Accounting, Treasury, Collections, and Assessing while ensuring compliance with Massachusetts laws, bylaws, and GASB standards. The Finance Director also plays a central role in budget development, capital planning, borrowing, and long-term fiscal strategy for both town and school operations.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s in finance/accounting (master’s preferred), five to seven years municipal finance experience, Massachusetts CGA designation preferred (required within one year).

Salary: $120,000–$135,000 DOQE, plus comprehensive benefits. Employment contract available.
