Fire Chief/EMS Director/Emergency Manager/Fire Warden

Salary range up to $130,000
Summary: The town of Lancaster population (8,400) is seeking a qualified professional to lead its Fire and EMS service. The Fire Chief works under the Strong Chief’s law MGL 48, s42.
The Fire Chief is responsible for leading the department currently staffed by seven full-time and approximately twenty-five call members. The department responded to 1,500 calls in 2024 including 1,100 medical calls.
Minimum qualifications – a bachelor’s degree in fire science or administration, ten years of active Fire Fighting/ EMS experience. At least five years of supervisory experience as a Chief, Deputy Chief or Captain or an equivalent education and experience.
Requires a valid motor vehicle license, certification in CPR, Certification as a First Responder, Fire Officer 1 and 2, ICS certification to include ISO-400.
