Job Description

The town of Wayland Fire department seeks motived candidates to join our team as a Firefighter/Paramedic. This full-time position is responsible for fire suppression, fire prevention and education, advanced life support emergency medical care, rescue operations, and other non-emergency duties. The schedule of work is rotating 24-hour shifts that result in an average 42-hour workweek over an eight-week cycle. The Wayland Fire department offers additional compensation for education, as well as paid vacation, personal, sick time and overtime opportunities. Must have a high school Diploma, EMT-Paramedic license, and a valid driver’s license at time of hire. Full Salary Range: $74,979 – $81,348 (including EMT-P stipend).
