The town of Boxford is accepting applications for a full-time Head of Circulation at the Boxford Town Library. This position is responsible for overseeing all circulation services and supervising circulation desk staff and volunteers. The ideal candidate will have a masters in library science from an accredited graduate program with a professional certificate of librarianship issued by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, or ability to obtain certificate within two months of hire, and minimum of three years progressively responsible library experience with two years supervisory experience.
Duties include managing circulation workflows, training staff on library systems, assisting patrons, maintaining library collections, and serving as liaison to the Merrimack Valley Library Consortium Circulation Committee. Familiarity with integrated library systems and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
This is a 35-hour/week position, typically Monday–Thursday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., with one evening per week and a Saturday rotation. Attendance at occasional evening/weekend programs may be required.
