Job Description

Brookline seeks an experienced Human Resources Coordinator to provide administrative and operational support covering a broad range of HR functions including CORI/SORI processing, recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, personnel record-keeping, and compliance with state and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and process CORI/SORI background checks for employees, volunteers, and contractors.
  • Coordinate pre-employment processes, including offer letters, medical releases, pre-placement physicals, and new hire orientations.
  • Maintain personnel files and HR databases; monitor payroll and attendance records.
  • Support departmental accounts payable/receivable functions; prepare purchase orders, process invoices, and manage departmental ordering.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees, vendors, and other departments; assist with communications and special projects.
  • Serves as back-up to other HR staff and performs all other duties as required.

Qualifications:

Associate degree in business, office administration, or related field required; bachelor’s preferred. Minimum three years of administrative or HR experience, preferably in the public sector. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Knowledge of HR practices, payroll, employment regulations, and accounting procedures. Proficiency with office and HR/payroll software. Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information essential.
