The Town of Blackstone is seeking applicants for the Outreach Coordinator position. This full-time, 33.5-hour-per-week clerical union role offers excellent benefits with an hourly wage of $21.09–$28.11, depending on qualifications, education, and certifications.

Position Overview
The Outreach Coordinator provides support to senior and disabled adult residents, including client education, advocacy, case management, and referrals to public and nonprofit programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with fuel assistance, SNAP, MassHealth, Medicare, Social Security, and other resources.

  • Maintain documentation, records, and data.

  • Provide service through in-office, phone, and home visits.

  • Research, update, and share resource lists.

  • Coordinate with external organizations, town departments, and service providers.

  • Support Senior Center operations and contribute to the monthly newsletter.

  • Report suspected abuse to the COA Director and prepare required reports.

  • Market outreach services and programs.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field plus one year of experience, or equivalent education/training. Requires knowledge of social service programs, ability to manage confidential information, strong interpersonal skills, and proficiency with office software.
